Child Care

 Chester Hill Out of School Hours Care is a service managed by Chester Hill Neighbourhood centre.

It  is located at:

It provides quality care for children aged between 5-12 years in a safe and caring environment.

The service caters for 25 children before, 75 Children after school care, and 85 children for vacation care.

All staff are trained and qualified. They hold current First Aid Certificate and have been subjected to the full range of police checks required by law.

Before/After School Care Operation
Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre has been accredited as being of a good and high quality.

We provide service for nine schools in the surrounding area;
Chester Hill Public, Chester Hill North Public, Sefton Infants, Immaculate Heart of Mary (Sefton), Regents Rark Public, St. Peter Channel, Blaxcell Street, Sacred Heart Villawood.

Children involved in Before-School-Care are dropped off at the centre by parents and will be taken to school by Neighbourhood Centre buses.

After-School-Care children will be picked up from school on Neighbourhood Centre buses and taken to the Child Care Centre.

Before and After School Care Program
The program each week provides a variety of activities, eg. Arts and craft, games, indoor and outdoor play, cooking etc.

A nutritional breakfast and afternoon tea is provided including, toast, cereal, milk for breakfast and assorted sandwiches, fresh fruit and a special treat for afternoon tea. Any special dietary requirements your child may have will be catered for.

Child Care Benefits
All families that participate in the Before and After School Care are eligible for child care benefits.

Respite Care

Respite Care
Is a program for children with a mild to moderate disability to be integrated into mainstream after school care.

Vacation Care
 
These program will include fun activities, games, indoor and outdoor play, arts and craft, cooking, excursions etc. Excursions are free and includes bowling, cinemas, picnics, swimming etc.
Children have to bring their own morning tea, lunch, a drink, and afternoon tea. However some cooking activities can provide afternoon tea.

Hours of Operation for Vacation Care Programs

  • 7.00 am – 6.00 pm  School Holidays only
  • Excluding Public Holidays
  • The centre will be closed for two weeks over Christmas/New Year period
